Brenda grew up in Southern California and has served the greater Conejo Valley for 20 years.
Brenda started her private practice 15 years ago and finds great satisfaction in working with clients. She offers exceptional guidance, empathy, education, compassion, experience, and most importantly a listening ear.
She began college knowing she wanted to work in the health field but was unsure of which practice. After taking her first undergraduate nutrition class, she found herself excited to learn more. She then started teaching group fitness classes while obtaining credentials as a Registered Dietitian.
Brenda worked at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center, where she was part of a multidisciplinary diabetes center and worked in a gestational diabetes clinic. She also taught multiple group classes in weight management (adult and pediatric), cardiovascular, and diabetes. At Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center Outpatient Nutrition Clinic, she focused on diabetes management classes and nutrition counseling while leading the diabetes support group. Brenda has presented to various local support groups and corporations in addition to consulting for a foster home
Having taught group fitness classes for 15 years, exercise has been an important part of Brenda's life. She is an off-and-on runner racing 5-10 K’s, hitting the trails with friends, loves to hike, and can oftentimes be found weight training at the gym.
Brenda has attended Healthy Kitchens, Healthy Lives at The Culinary Institute of America in Napa, California in addition to multiple local cooking classes. She enjoys sharing simple, tasty, healthy recipes.
